About

I concluded my Double Bachelor's in Systems Engineering and Computer Science at the Pontifical Bolivarian University Medellín, Colombia and the Fachhochschule Münster, Germany, respectively. On April 2018 I received my Master of Science in Scientific Computing at the University of Heidelberg, Germany. During the latter I focused on investigating the conceptual and technical considerations around modelling, extracting, storing and analyzing dynamic co-occurrence networks from large text corpora. Having worked as a Software, Information Security, CERT and Automation Engineer for numerous Colombia-, Germany- and US-based companies, among them GitLab Inc., on July 2021 I joined Prof. Dr. Michael Gertz's Database Systems Research group as a Doctoral Researcher at the Heidelberg University Institute of Computer Science.

Research Focus

My research focuses on the extraction, storage and representation of knowledge from dynamic textual and non-textual multi-modal data sources. Currently, I investigate whether and to what extent NLP and knowledge graphs can be leveraged to improve decision-making in healthcare.
